Google Chrome is one of the most preferred web browser as well as memory consuming application too that slows down your system. If your PC/laptop is having the minimum of the RAM, then it will not be able to handle the browser which might lead to the crashing of an application i.e Google Chrome.

The most recommended solution is that you uninstall the non-essential Google Chrome add-ons and restart your browser to release RAM.

The browser restarts by closing & reopening itself again automatically loaded with all Chrome instances with previously opened tabs, multiple profile Chrome windows by retaining session. Some data might not be recoverable e.g. form data will be lost, upload or download might get interrupted.

You can use the following command to properly close the Chrome browser without losing any tabs you are visiting.

chrome://quit/
